Solitude

Solitude is a solo piano album centered on stillness, intimacy, and presence. Written and recorded in Hamar during the winter months, the music emerged from a deliberate return to simplicity, a single instrument, a quiet room, and the space to listen closely.

Each piece was recorded with minimal intervention, allowing the natural weight, decay, and physicality of the sound to remain intact. Silence plays an essential role, shaping the music as much as the notes themselves and creating a sense of fragile balance throughout the EP.

The collection consists of a series of short piano pieces, each captured in a single moment. Rather than functioning as individual narratives, the works form a continuous emotional landscape — fragments, reflections, and brief glimpses of winter light. There is no emphasis on virtuosity or dramatic development; the focus is on restraint, breath, and the subtle tension that exists within quiet spaces.

Solitude is music for solitary listening. It invites slowness, reflection, and attention, a pause from momentum, and a place to rest.
